Life’sWork of Western PA Receives Funding from the Staunton Farm Foundation

Pittsburgh, PA (February 2, 2024) — Life’sWork of Western PA is honored to have received grant funding from the Staunton Farm Foundation. For over 96 years, Life’sWork of Western PA (Life’sWork) has been providing services to families in crisis and individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment throughout southwestern Pennsylvania.

Funds from the Staunton Farm Foundation will be used to provide employment support services for individuals in recovery from substance use disorder (SUD) who are living in Allegheny, Beaver, Fayette, Greene, Washington, and Westmoreland counties through the Life’sWork RECOVER program. Through the program, individuals receive talent development training to prepare for the workplace, access to employment opportunities and job placement support, and job coaching to support employment retention.

“With this support from the Staunton Farm Foundation, we are helping individuals regain more than employment; we are helping them reclaim their lives,” says Life’sWork President and Chief Executive Officer Timothy Parks. “We are grateful for the Staunton Farms Foundation for their commitment to support individuals in recovery through access to life-changing services, support, and opportunities for fulfilling employment.”

Life’sWork offers programs and employment support services, including vocational assessments, job shadowing and work-based learning experiences, placement and follow-on support, as well as customized training programs for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment.
