Job Summary
The Job Coach is responsible for supporting participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities or other barriers to employment. The Job Coach will assist participants in maintaining, acquiring, and enhancing skills to participate in work-related activities. The Job Coach will work across all aspects of our program: facility, community, and small group staffing locations.

- Monessen Office – Located at 19 Eastgate Avenue Monessen, PA 15062
Job Responsibilities
- Provides job coaching across all our program areas: facility, community, and small group staffing locations
- Supports the achievement of the participants’ personal outcomes and goals
- Demonstrates knowledge of and implementation of the participants’ support plans
- Completes daily documentation of implementation and progress toward the participants’ goals and activities based on the care plans
- Acts as a role model for appropriate workplace behavior
- Engages with all participants in a positive, respectful, productive manner on a regular basis
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment
- Contributes information regarding individual participant’s progress for support team meetings when requested
- Engages with participants on a daily basis to facilitate growth for learning and opportunities
- Identifies and provides reasonable accommodation to assist the needs of participants (e.g., assisting them with the vending machine, walking them to the bathroom)
- Provides a person-centered environment that fosters advancement and transition
- Transports participants to and from the worksite using company vehicles
- Completes and maintains annual staff qualifications, including 24 hours of training per year
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Secondary degree in psychology, social services, or related field preferred
- Valid PA driver’s license, good driving record, and current car insurance required
- Patch / PA Child Abuse / FBI Fingerprint clearances (required within 30 days of employment; paid for by Life’sWorkof Western PA)
- ACRE certification (Life’sWork will pay for certification if you do not currently hold certification)
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Team player with confidence to take the lead
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Solid organization with customer-oriented approach
- Good attention to detail and observation skills
- Proficient technical understanding and ability to pick up on new systems easily
- Working knowledge of computer systems to complete documentation
