Life’sWork Receives Community Partners Award

Life'sWork was presented with Project Employ's first-ever Community Partners Award on May 12.

The award recognized the agency's efforts to provide internships and employment opportunities to the students

and graduates of Project Employ, a program of Bethlehem Haven. It was presented at the organization’s annual Professional Development Class Graduation and networking event.

Life’sWork’s Human Resources Coordinator Tara Zimmerman participated in an Employer and Graduate Panel Discussion prior to the ceremony to talk about her experience in hosting internships for Project Employ students.

“Over the past three years, Life’sWork has hosted 16 Project Employ interns,” she said. “Each has come to the job as qualified candidates who are ready to work and eager to get a job.”

Twenty-three students were recognized at the ceremony, along with 25 past graduates who have obtained and retained employment. For more information about Project Employ, please contact Sara Dix, Program Coordinator at 412-391-1348.
