We are pleased to report that Life’sWork’s Choices, a program for youth with employment barriers, will continue for the next three years, thanks to funding provided by the United Way of Allegheny County.

Electrical Supplies:  Aisle 6

If you’ve ever shopped at a home improvement store for electrical supplies, you’ve probably seen Cooper Crouse-Hinds’ products. Chances are the products on those shelves were packaged at Life’sWork.

With the help of an adaptive device, Kim works on another Cooper Crouse-Hinds job—a spring clip assembly.

Voting ends July 31.

Life’sWork contracts with Cooper Crouse-Hinds Outlet Boxes, Inc. located in Canonsburg to perform a variety of packaging services. Currently, Life’sWork is completing an order for nearly 23,000 metal switch plate covers; it’s a job that calls for a metal plate, two screws and two nuts to be inserted into a plastic pouch, which is then heat sealed, packed into boxes and shipped back to the customer for distribution. And, it’s a job that will employ nearly 30 workers with disabilities this month alone.

Cooper Crouse-Hinds has partnered with Life’sWork to fulfill its packaging needs for more than a decade.
