Scoop shop reports zero sales On april 29

Located on Forbes Avenue in Squirrel Hill, this PartnerShop is one of only 17 in the U.S. and U.K. and a big part of Ben & Jerry’s social mission. Proceeds from every cone, cake and sundae sold both in the store and at off-site catering events support Life’sWork’s programs and services -- which makes the Squirrel Hill Ben & Jerry’s the “coolest” treat in town!

That’s because it was Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry’s scoop shops across the globe.

 

At the Squirrel Hill PartnerShop, we gave away 3,276 scoops of ice cream...that’s nearly 600 pounds! Thankfully, we had some extra hands to “scoop” it out, including the WTAE-TV Morning Team, and VIP Scoopers Bill Gueguen and Jeff Blackburn. Entertaining the crowd were special guests Sauerkraut Sal, Eat’n Park’s Smiley and Steely McBeam.
